Welcome to TAWAS
Tarang Art & Wellbeing Association of Scotland (TAWAS) is a registered Scottish charity dedicated to improving mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing through the power of creativity, education, and community engagement.
We believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to express themselves, learn new skills, build confidence, and feel connected. Through inclusive arts programmes, wellbeing workshops, cultural activities, and community partnerships, we create safe and welcoming spaces where people of all backgrounds and abilities can thrive.
At the heart of TAWAS's activities is a strong commitment to education and awareness. It conducts a range of programs aimed at enhancing knowledge and understanding of health and wellbeing. These includes.......
Workshops and Seminars: Covering topics such as mental health, nutrition, physical fitness, and emotional resilience. These sessions are designed to be interactive and engaging, encouraging participants to actively contribute and share their experiences.
Art and Therapy Programs: Utilizing various forms of art, including painting, music, and dance, as therapeutic tools to enhance emotional and mental wellbeing. These programs are especially beneficial for individuals with special needs, providing them with a creative outlet to express themselves.
Community Outreach: Engaging with local communities through events and campaigns to promote healthy living practices and wellbeing awareness. This includes collaborating with schools, community centers, and other organizations to reach a broader audience.
Tarang Art & Wellbeing Society of Scotland is deeply rooted in community engagement. By fostering partnerships with local talents and organisations, the society ensures that it's programs are accessible and impactful. The positive feedback from participants and the tangible improvements in their wellbeing are testaments to the effectiveness of TAWAS's initiatives.
